She was the new girl. The one who sat in the cafeteria alone. I wanted to know everything about her: her favorite book, if she had any hobbies, if she had brothers, sisters, what she wrote about in her notebook at lunch.

She's writing in it now.

"Gavin, hello? Anybody in there?" Ryan waves his hand in my face.

"Whaaaaaat?" I groan as I turn my attention to my best friend. 

"You're not paying attention to me!" He complains as though he was six instead of fifteen.

Now she was looking around nervously, biting her lip. Her sky blue eyes darting back and forth as she let her golden blond hair fall upon her shoulders, out of a ponytail that it was in a few seconds ago.

"GAVIN!" Ryan smacks me in the head, "Stop staring at London! Geez, she's only been here two days and you're already drooling over her!"

"What if I found out where she lives?" I ask, teasing.

"That's considered stalking, something that makes girls turn, run, and call the cops", Ryan says, seriously.

"We'll see..." I tease some more.

He kept looking in my direction. I didn't mind much, he was kind of cute with his dark brown hair and blue eyes you could just sink into. I've seen him on my bus, he got off two stops before me. I think his name is Gavin or something like that. 

He looks over at me again, catching me. We make eye contact and he smiles. But then his friend waves his hand in front of his face, saying something I couldn't make out. Oh god, he's coming over here. His friend looks confused and a little bit betrayed.

"Hi!" He smiles, "May I sit?"

"Um... Sure...", I agree, my voice cracking little.

Gavin sits next to me and looks me in the eyes.

"Can I ask you a question?" Gavin asks, nervously.

"You just did..." I reply, dumbly.

He chuckles, "Will you be my girlfriend?", he hesitates to ask.

"Yes", I answer.

"Really?" Gavin asks, surprised.

"Yes", I repeat, smiling.

AND THEY LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER FOR ABOUT THREE MONTHS BEFORE BREAKING UP AND MOVING ON!
