Should my book be here?

I've started writing a short story which I don't think really fits in any other genre so I've just put it here because I am young, or does the content of your story need to be targeted towards teens and young adults?
If so then I probably don't belong here seeing as though I only really read books from the 1800s so not really teen fiction.
