Hi my name is Amelia Armstrong and I have been into photography for quite sometime now. I just recently moved to San Diego California,to live my dream.

“ Amelia! you'll love it here” Jane screamed

“Ah I am not feeling the vibe” I said Honestly

“ Ah well there is plenty of cute guys here….” She started to doze off. I just stared at the floor.

“I'm sorry Amelia I didn't mean it like that” Jane apologized 

“ No it's fine,I really miss him" I sighed. James was my soon to be husband. But two night before we got married he was out with a bunch of friends, and they got into a car crash. No one survived.

We finally made it to Jane's house. Her house was different this time. There was an addition to the top of the house.

We went inside,and there was a meal prepared for us.

“Jane?” I asked

“ Camden made this” Jane said shyly

“ Who is Camden?” I asked. That is when I noticed that she was playing with a ring on her ring finger.

“ Really?” I asked trying not to hide my sadness

“ Yes!!” She screams. I ran to hug her

“ I am so happy for you” I lied

“ Thank you,I thought you would be mad” Jane mumbled

“ No why would I be?” I honestly asked

“ Because you and James were supposed to get married before me"

"Oh right,well it's okay" I lied,then I heard a loud voice. I assumed it was Camden. He was tall. He had brown muddy hair and bright blue eyes? Weird.

“Camden Amelia,Amelia Camden” Jane said formally

“ Hello Amelia” Camden said and hugged me. I stiffened

“ Babe she doesn't hug people” Jane said politely

“ Oh sorry” Camden apologized

“ It's fine,you'll be my brother in law soon” I laughed. We stood there in awkward silence. I finally had to break it.

“ Well I will be back in time for dinner” I said

“ Okay see you at 6:00 then,love you” Jane said and hugged me. I walked out the door.

I got myself a taxi and made it to my new apartment. I walked into my new apartment. I was actually a little disappointed.

I started to unpack my things. I found a photo of James and me. I started to tear up. Then I heard a quiet knock on my door.

I quickly wiped my tears and opened the door.

“ Hi, I live two doors down" He said. He was very tall and cute

“ Oh um do you want to come in?” I asked politely

“ Uh sure” He said. I opened the door all the way. And got him water. I think that is what your supposed to do for guests.

“ When did you move in?” He asked

“ Today actually,as you can see” I pointed to boxes

“ Oh” was all he said. I eyed him carefully. He looked right at me staring at him. I looked away blushing. I could feel his eyes on my back.

“ Do you want to hang out later?” He asked me

“ Um sure,I still don't know your name?” I asked

“ Brandon” He said and left

“ What the heck?!” I whispered. I kept unpacking. It was 6:10 when I looked at the time. 

“Crap Jane!!” I yelled, I got dresses fast an called her and told her I was going to be late and  told her to add an extra plate at the table. I ran down to the second door and  knocked.

“ Hello?” Brandon asked

“ Hey you said you wanted to hang out right?” I asked

“ Yeah why?” He asked

“ Okay do you have a car?” I asked

“ Yes” He finally got the idea. He grabbed his keys and turned off his light.

“ Where to?" He asked

“ My sister Jane's house for dinner” I said

“ Oh” He said and looked up and down at me

“What?” I asked

“ The color yellow looks lovely on you” He blushed

“Oh thank you” I laughed. We made it to Jane's house.

“Does your sister know I am coming?” Brandon asked. I hesitated trying to remember if I told her that I was bringing someone.

“ Yes I told her” I said as I got out of his car

“ What did you say you were bringing?” He asked

“ I said a friend” I said. We walked in together. I smelled something good. I spotted Jane.

“ Amelia!” Jane yelled as she ran towards us

“ Jane I am sorry I am lat…." she cut me off

“ He is so hot!!” She yelled. I blushed

“ Jane he is a friend” I said. Brandon spotted Camden and decided to talk to him.

“ Yeah but still,do you think he likes you?” 

“ No Jane stop” I said and walked to Brandon

“ What's wrong?” He whispered to me so no one heard

“ Nothing, sorry for Jane” I said

“ Oh she's fine” Brandon said and patted my arm

“ Shall we eat?” Camden asked

“ Yes” Jane said. We took our chairs. Brandon took a chair across from me.

“ So Amelia what do you do?” Camden asked

“ I am a photographer” I said 

“ Oh nice” He said. I hated to be put on the spot. I peeked through my hair to see if Brandon was okay. He was staring at me. I looked down. I looked at Jane and she was staring at Brandon. For some reason I felt a little awkward having Brandon staring at me.

I stayed after to help Jane pick up after dinner.

“ So you and Brandon just met?” Jane asked

“ Yeah like 4 hours ago” I laughed, She eyed me carefully 

“ It seems like you guys have known each other longer "

“ No I just met him” I said

“ He likes you,you know?” She assumed

“ No he doesn't” I yelled. She looked down. I felt bad but I don't think I am ready to date or be in love again.

“ Amelia, just because James died doesn't mean you have to be sorry all the time and be sad. When Mom died,Dad still found happiness and didn't give up. And now he has  Samantha” Jane said.

“ I know I'm sorry, but he isn't my type" I lied

“ Can I put my cup here?” Someone asked. I nearly jumped 10 feet in the air. It was just Brandon.

“ Sure” Jane said. He walked over and watched me closely

“ You okay?” He asked

“ Yes” I lied. I was about to lose it but I had to keep it together. He set down his cup and looked at me. He put up his hand. I thought he was gonna smack me. I flinched.

“ I am not going to hurt you” He said and stroked my cheek. I melted. Jane watched us. 

“ Are you ready to go home?” He asked me

“ ….oh yes sorry, Jane night” I said

“ Okay call me with details!” Jane laughed. We left her house and went back to our apartment complex.

“ I had fun tonight” He spoke through the silence

“ Why were you staring at me?” I asked

“ Your beautiful why wouldn't I?” He was confused

“ Brandon,I don't think this is a good idea” I lied I wanted him badly. He looked at my face. And studied me deeply. I could feel my face burn.

“ Amelia,  know about James” He said

“ What?” I asked

“ It's okay I won't do anything stupid to hurt you” He said

“ Brandon we aren't even together” I said. I felt mad

“ I know…but would you like to be?” He asked me

“ No, I can't!! how can I still feel love when my love died? Is it possible to still love when I am still hurting?” I asked. He paused. He was thinking. Finally he said something.

“ That is fair. But know I will always be around as long as you want me around” He said. He mad me angry. I never said I wanted him and I never said I didn't.

“ Brandon I need time to get to know you more” I said

“ Okay,I can deal with that” He laughed. He stopped walking. We were in front of my door.

“ Can I make you a compromise?” He asked

“Yes” I said

“ If you still get what you want which is get to know me better,can we date?” He asked. Ugh I knew this was going to happen.

“ Why?” I asked

“ Why what?” He asked confused

“ Why me?” 

“ Why not?” He laughed

“ Fine…but only dating that's it” I was angry

“ Thanks Amelia!!” He said and hugged me. Then pulled me away and kissed me.

“ No what are you doing?” I asked

“ We are dating right?" He asked

“ Yes but there are going to be rules about my body and us"

“ No kissing?” He asked

“ Fine,but nothing more” I said. He pulled his lips back to mine. He pulled away this time.

“ Good night Miss. Johnson” He laughed and kissed my forehead

“ Night Brandon” I said and went into my apartment.

I woke up feeling sick. I ran to the bathroom and threw up.

“ Are you okay?” I heard someone

“ Get out!” I yelled and slammed the door. I finished puking and opened the door. I yelled at Brandon.

“ I'm….” He hugged me tightly. He smelled so good

“ It's okay I am here” He said

“ How did you get in?” I asked

“ I was about to knock but then I heard you knock over things so I rushed in” He smiled. I hid my blushing face. He really cared a lot about me.

“ Are you feeling better?” He asked

“ Yes I ate something bad last night” I laughed

“ Are you up to skating today?” He asked

“ What are you talking about?” I asked

“ Ice skating?" He said. Oh my god what month is it? December already?

“ Are you okay?” He asked worried

“ Yes what month is it?” I asked

“December 12” He laughed at my face. I settled down fast. 

“ Okay let me get dressed,you sit on the couch okay and don't come in” I said and ran to my room. 

I put on a yellow turtle neck and blue jeans. I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I ran back to the living room. But I couldn't spot him anywhere.

“ Brandon?” I asked. Then I felt two big hand around my waist

“ Here?” He said

“ Oh good I wasn't worried” I lied

“ Yeah okay” He rolled his eyes

“ Lets go” I said. We made it to the ice skating ring and I was terrified. I could feel Brandon's eyes on me.

“ Ready?” He asked me

“ Yep you go ahead” I laughed

“ You Sure?” Brandon asked
