Boxed In
The indignity was great and beyond anything he had ever experienced. Hot and scared out of his wits, with bound feet in pitch darkness, he was totally helpless. His feathers were more than ruffled, that was for sure. Spreading his wings was a non starter and there wasn't even room to roll over.
Not that Bantams are given much to rolling over, it goes against the natural order of things. Natural order of things...what a comforting phrase, what an enticing and beguiling thought. This tied up and boxed in experience was simply terrible.
