Same crime different time

My life started to unfold when I was in 4th grade. My grades started to slip my teacher Mrs. Lambdin would call my mom everyday to tell her how I had acted up someway the most notable calling was when I took my marker and thought I scribbled under the desk but drew a full fledged picture and got caught when I tried to stick a piece of bubblegum under it.

5th grade wasn’t much different Mr. Maddox was pretty cool but I was the class show off I was drinking milk leaning back in my chair when this girl tried to do it too and ended up leaning too far and she fell and her milk went all over her shirt that got me suspended, then there was another time when I was at recess and I lived down the street so I just took off and headed home, grabbed my skateboard and I don’t know how Mr. Maddox didn’t see me leave or return but we came back and I skated the halls until Officer Inkelar caught me and sent me home. Then I let this kid ride my skateboard and went home to get some water I came back and it was broken to the point of no return, I was furious and ended up fighting Joey, little did I know, Joey had four brothers who heard Joey yelling and I got scared and ran for the river of course they followed me and then Joey came down the drop and slipped, he was wearing shorts and then when he got up I had a shocked look on my face, his right side of his shorts were red and dripping I didn’t say anything I couldn’t I just stood there, pointed in awe and then he looked down, lifted up his shorts and there it was a gash about the size of a grown man’s finger and it was bleeding fast then he reached in his pocket and pulled out the bloody X-acto knife he was going to use on me but ended up cutting himself then I went to the YMCA to go swimming and there was a locker with a bright pink lock on it, what made it stand out was that it had 3 sets of numbers on it , 26-18-5 so I looked around and used that to get into the locker and I saw a wallet, and a phone I took the phone and the money inside of the wallet and told my mom I wanted to leave .

6th grade I thought everything was normal and all good until may 16th I was called into the office of truesdell middle school and 4 officers and a detective told me they just wanted to talk I didn’t know what they wanted because 6 months had passed since Joey cut himself trying to cut me so I thought I was gonna be more than good then they asked me what happened the day that Joey sliced his leg open and that’s when I knew the shit hit the fan so I told them everything I knew and then the detective asked the cops to leave and he pulled up a chair and looked at me with a hard angry glare and said “this isn’t over, I’m not going to stop until justice is served” and I was one shiver away from crying then he left, I called my mom and told her what happened and she picked me up from school and said I had a (doctor appointment) and took me home and I had to tell her about what happened then about a week later I was called into the office again the same 4 cops returned with the same detective and he read me my Miranda Rights and shackled me up he didn’t handcuff me he put leg irons on me that went around my wrists, ankles, and padlocked at the waist followed by a chain to hold onto like a dog leash except I was an 11 year old child he took me to this building and I could tell you everything about it now but back then I didn’t know where I was going I had to sit and rot in jail for 6 months trying to prove my innocence but I was so scared everything I told the police and my mom wouldn’t come to mind the only thing I could think about was that I’m 11 and in jail

Court day today is the day for court they will probably let me go home on probation but when I get in front of the judge he didn’t say much but “I find the defendant: Vincent White Guilty of Theft, and 2 counts of Disorderly Conduct” then he sentenced me to JJA custody and boy did the tears flow then. By then it was March and I stayed in jail until august 20th 2009 and then I was released to Camelot Lakeside Academy, my first placement

Chapter one: Kings Camp

I’m on my way to the placement and this place looks familiar, my grandpa took me down this way to see uncle woody and to take me swimming at this place the pool was really deep and without my life vest I would’ve died going off that diving board. I know this place it looks really familiar the office we checked into to swim, the pool, the mess hall the agility course I remember it all I just never knew it housed juvenile delinquents like me. I remember talking to Mr. Hodges and Mr. Jones about the rules and signed a bunch of papers when he told me I would be going to Lodge 2 which was all the way on the other side of campus but Mrs. Joyce came up in a golf cart and yelled “git in or ya walkin” so I ran to the gold cart and she said “just remember yer norms and yer expectations and you will be cookin wit fire. You’ll be outta here in no time” then we stopped at the lodge and a staff with short arms came out and said welcome to lodge 2

I was the quiet kid at first, didn’t talk much but didn’t follow the rules, rules didn’t matter to me if I didn’t benefit I didn’t do it then my roommates came home from school and one of them looked weird it wasn’t till later that night did I find out he was a rapist then he came to my bed beat me senseless and went to his bed to go to sleep like nothing ever happened when school started everything got real there were no blocks on the computers and even then I could get past them easily Mr. Rufles class was the easiest class to bypass that my computer was right next to the CAT5 Ethernet plug all I had to do was disconnect my computer from the network, log in to my computer and then plug it back in and that would enable me to access restricted sites I wouldn’t be able to connected to the network

The day I left when I got home it was already bad I broke curfew already and I was given many chances where I messed up the most was when I was Way past my curfew on my bike hanging out with my friends on a Friday night and we were trying to size each other up on our bikes when I saw a sand patch and I wanted to hop over it in style so when I lifted up my front tire there was a fine line of sand that my back tire caught and I looked down when I was thrown off my bike, onto a curb and the back of my right hand broke my fall but didn’t break it enough, my chin followed onto the curb like driving a nail with a glass hammer I didn’t know what happened until I looked around and felt a dripping feeling from my chin and I look down and there it is, blood dripping in sync with my heartbeat I didn’t notice my hand until I reached for my phone to call my mom and then like a thousand needles, my hand quickly exited my pocket and I looked at it and then did I realize that I had fucked up bad with a pool of blood and a broken wrist with road rash on it I didn’t know what to do so I used my phone to call my mom and told her to meet me at the QT which was across the street and I took off my shirt tied it around my chin to try to stop the bleeding and waited outside and my mom came with a towel, a white towel and then out of nowhere I saw this ambulance and by that time I couldn’t really see straight, my vision was fading very quickly and getting blurry I remember the ambulance pulling into the QT and 2 paramedics rushed out catching me as I went unconscious and I woke up in the hospital with 3 internal stitches and 5 external I started 8th grade 2 days after that wreck I went for about 4 days when I got called to the office and there was the familiar sight, my ISO Nick Mulligan and his field partner Josh was there to arrest me but on the way to jail he told me “we have already found a placement for you all we need to do is wait on the bed to open up” well how long will I be in jail I asked “a week, 3 tops” I said that’s cool I suppose

I serve my week and it was a literal week I had to do there not long at all 3 days in INDIA housing unit and then 4 days in BRAVO SIDE 2 the little kid side I was in room 18 and I can remember it to this day then the madness begins

Chapter 2: Salvation

There was a familiar face there, Caleb Whitmore, he was a Juggalo I knew everything to become one but I didn’t like the music that they do so it wasn’t the thing for me I liked hanging out with them cause they were really cool, then when school ended another familiar face, Quandrell Majority a Blood from 5400 st. Bloods and we were all in the same housing unit, pioneers, there were three units pioneers for the little kids, patriots for the sex offenders and pathways for the older kids I started out in pioneers but didn’t get along with the other kids there then they moved me to pathways, I stayed there for the first 2 months and then I took some meds and sold them at school to kids when someone told crime stoppers and got me expelled and kicked out of the placement then I ended up back in jail for 2 weeks then went to one of my family members house, my half-sisters
