Best paper trading simulators

A few years ago, I jumped in without much practice and got burned pretty fast. Now I’m looking to do it right — start with some paper trading to test strategies and build confidence. Thing is, there are so many platforms out there, and it's hard to know which ones are actually helpful and which are just basic simulators with fake market conditions. If anyone has used a paper trading simulator that felt realistic and helped you learn, I’d love some suggestions.

I totally get what you're saying. I was in the same boat — after messing up a couple of live trades early on, I switched to paper trading to regroup and figure things out. There’s a pretty solid list over at https://forextester.com/blog/best-paper-trading-simulators/ that breaks down the best simulators depending on your goals. Some are great if you want to simulate real-time conditions, others are more focused on strategy building. I tried a few from that list, and it really helped me get more consistent before going live again. Might be worth checking out.

Just saw this thread while scrolling. Paper trading always seemed like a smart step before risking actual money. I don’t trade myself, but I’ve heard friends say it helped them stay more disciplined once they moved to real accounts.
