Is a PIM system worth the investment for a small business?

We're a small online retailer, and I'm wondering if a PIM system is overkill for our size. We only have about 200 products, but managing all the descriptions, images, and specs across our website and marketplaces is taking up a lot of time. I just can't decide if the cost of implementing and maintaining a PIM is worth it for the time savings. Is anyone else running a small business and using a PIM? Or should I just stick with well-organized spreadsheets for now?

The decision of whether or not to implement a PIM system often comes down to a trade-off between short-term costs and long-term scalability. For businesses with relatively simple product catalogs, the immediate benefits might not be obvious. However, as product offerings expand and sales channels multiply, the complexity of managing product information can quickly become overwhelming. Investing in the right infrastructure early on can certainly pay dividends down the road.
