How to choose the right PIM software for a growing ecommerce business

Lately I’ve been feeling like our product catalog is getting a little out of control. We started with a small online store, but now we sell through our own website, a marketplace, and a few wholesale partners. The same product can have three slightly different descriptions depending on where it is listed, and updating images or specs takes forever. For a growing ecommerce business, what would you actually look for when choosing the right PIM software?

I ran into the same problem when our store grew past the “spreadsheet is fine” stage. The biggest thing for me was choosing something that could keep product data in one place and then push it out to different channels without rewriting everything manually. This page helped me compare what matters in a practical way: https://piminto.com/blog/top-best-product-information-management-software. I wouldn’t only look at features, though. Check how easy it is for your team to import products, manage images, update attributes, and connect with platforms you already use. A fancy system is useless if nobody wants to use it every day.

Just passing through here, but I always find it interesting how fast online stores become more complicated once they start adding more products and sales channels. Even small changes, like better photos or clearer descriptions, can make a big difference in how professional a shop feels to customers.
