Difficulty with Data Source Connection – Any Tips on Resolving?

I’m relatively new to using Tableau and I’ve been working on a project where I need to connect to a specific data source (an SQL database). I’ve followed the standard steps to set up the connection, but I’m running into an issue where Tableau can’t seem to pull the data correctly.

I’ve double-checked the credentials, network settings, and the database itself, and everything seems fine. The problem is that Tableau either shows an error message about the data source being unavailable, or it takes a long time to load any data, and sometimes doesn’t load anything at all.

Has anyone faced a similar issue? Are there any troubleshooting steps or common mistakes I might be overlooking? I’d appreciate any guidance on how to resolve this issue or optimize the data source connection for better performance.
