My interest in writing started at age 8. I wrote poetry and children's stories from that age and throughout my teens, twenties and thirties. I wrote a short novel in my thirties that never saw the 'light of day' and I now think in my retirement, it might be a good time to have another go at it! I still have all the writing I did in my early years in hard copy and I find it interesting to read those pieces, sometimes thinking "did I really write that!"
I now have the life experience that my 5th Form English teacher told me I needed to be a writer - so finally I am going to explore these experiences and see what I can produce - hopefully it will be something worth reading!
