Broken is something far beyond being hurt. It means something in us has been lost. It's something in us that we should all be aloud to keep. Your self worth, your dignity, your integrity, and your honor are all things you should be allowed to keep, but there are those that don't follow the societal rules, they take what they want brutally and abruptly. It's not only physically that this can be done, it only has to be a few simple precisely unleashed destructively vile and hurtful words to penetrate deep within us and leave a lasting effect. Words create and destroy.

When I was a child I thought as a child, but when I was grown I put away childish things. Self-control is the difference between a child and an adult.
