Mysterious

Amy sat in her tiny van staring out onto the endless plains of grass. Amy grew the awkward silence as she didn’t know what to say or think. She was to move away from her beloved dream spot. The old van stopped at a rather old looking house.

Amy was now pacing the floor in awe. Something was very mysterious. Her face suddenly dropped and her big emerald green eyes filled with tears. Her plaited chestnut brown hair swished as she silently sat down in a dirty corner.

In her head she imagined what her new dream spot would be, when she was awoken by a wierd scratching sound. Amy was sure of it, she definitely heard it.

In the meantime, Amy went out to help her parents carry the bags inside. She looked up at the house as she was walking on the rocky path and saw something shine through the window.

Unsure of what to think Amy continued helping her parents.

Amy now laying on her grey soft bed decided to take a look at it. She walked up the wooden staircase and opened a dark oak door. The floorboards underneath her freaked as she walked exploring the attic. That’s when she came across it.

The mirror.

Wise old owl

The moon shone bright beams of light. It was a full moon, Amy’s favourite. All the animals of the night flew towards the lit up lake. Nearby lay an ivy-coloured tree that was silver in the moonlight.

Amy sat on a nearby log wondering what to dream about. Since it was a full moon, one wish from Amy would be granted. She looked up to see a barn owl on the tree branch. It’s hazel brown feathers ruffled as the owl turned to look at Amy.

The frightened girl slowly stood up and stared at the owl. Something very perculiar was about to happen, she could sense it. To the young girls surprise the owl spoke.

“I am the moonlight owl, I grant your every wish and make your every dream come true”

Amy tried to talk but no words would escape her small mouth.

“Remember one thing before you leave” the owl spoke again “whatever your  thinking, good or bad, sad or happy, scary or funny, it could even be life changing! You will always have a dream similar to it” with that the owl flew away.

Butterfly’s went and perched on Amy’s dark brown hair. She stood up to see brown dirt on her new white dress. She sighed, her mum wasn’t going to be happy. Amy walked the direction of her home and bid farewell to the dream spot.

Her head was going crazy with excitement, but her dream and wish stayed well close to her heart. The bright orange sun was rising, tired Amy slumbered inside her house.
