Introduction

I had always thought of my world as being as normal as anyone's. I was a senior in high school with average grades. I wasn't one of the popular kids, but I wasn't at the bottom of the social food chain either. I wasn't on any of the sports teams, but I did sometimes do the school plays, my mom thought it would be good to put on college transcripts. I had dated a few girls, but didn't currently have a girlfriend. I guess I wouldn't mind having one, but it seemed like to much work right now, with trying to keep my grades up, and getting college applications filled out, and helping out at home. I was slightly taller than average, but of average build. I lived alone with my mom since my dad died last year. That's not really normal, but its not abnormal, it happens to other kids sometimes. Most of the things in my world were about average, what you'd call normal right? Yeah, I thought so too, only it turns out that my world wasn't really the world that I thought it was.

He hadn't been aware of it at the time, but she had been appearing in his dreams since before that day back in August, when his mom dragged him with her to that dream seminar.
