This is the story of Jim. Enthused by a request from his estranged daughter that he tell his life story, Jim begins with memories of his first five years as a child, spent during the Second World War in a gritty inner city suburb of Sydney. His family then became pioneers of an outer bush suburb. The halcyon years follow, of university, marriage, family, and his career as an architect. Finally there are the years of his retirement in Paris.
