Introduction

Lilith groaned. Just a month ago, a novice summoner had managed to reach her, and thus she had tricked the woman into allowing her to stay in her body. She was content to wreak havoc, as all her kind was, however nothing was going to plan!

At all!

The girl, now a spirit haunting around the body (her name was Marigold, she kept saying), was sitting patiently on a chair as Lilith paced. "These HUMANS. They no longer run screaming in terror and fear. And you!" She pointed at the spirit, who had started to play with a fuzzy pen. "You are not even supposed to be here!"

Marigold huffed. "Don't you think I know that? It's all weird to me too!" She floated up, and settled on her desk in her...er, their room.

Lilith growled, and the smell of sulfur seeped into the room, her demon powers coming into activation.

The pitiful human didn't even quiver!

Marigold huffed. "I have to meet Tan tomorrow."

Lilith perked up. Tan was an...interesting fellow. Nothing magical about him. But Marigold had set up some meetings with him. Supposedly, they had been friends in school, and now they were...still friends? Anyway, Lilith of course, had shown up to the meetings, acting as Marigold. Tan was an interesting human. He scared much easier than Marigold did. Supposedly, Marigold hadn't talked much but now that Lilith had taken over, she seemed more 'out-spoken'. Humans liked that.

Just then the bell rang. Marigold floated out the wall, squeaked, and came back. "It's Tan! Oh what do we do?!" Lilith rolled her eyes, stroking a stray blonde hair around her ear. "Talk, of course."

Lilith opened the door to see Tan standing with...flowers? He was a very tall man, deep voice and rich, brown skin that glistened in the sun-now Marigold's thoughts are infiltrating hers! Ew.

Tan shuffled in place, blushing. "I-I can't meet up tomorrow so I thought about calling, and that didn't seem okay, so I showed up and here!" he said in one breath, shoving the flowers at her.

Lilith took them, Marigold blushing in the background. Before either could say anything, Tan left, waving at them. Lilith blinked in the doorway, Marigold floating closer. "Wonder why he gave me flowers?"

Lilith groaned, a deep creaking sound like a rusted door being pushed open. "Oh my God, he's besotted with you," she said in a deadpan voice.

Marigold blinked. "What?"

How in the world did a demon wind up getting a human's love life together?!
