Hannah Stait Wurth grew up in the small town of Mudgee, NSW, where she lived for the first 23 years of her life. A typical millennial, she has failed to move out of home on various occasions and spent much of her adult life perfecting her art, coffee making but also, writing.
Writing was never something she chose to do, but a passion that began with writing stories for her younger brother and a questionable Draco Malfoy fanfic. She learnt to read forcing her grandmother to read the same picture book about a cat, over and over, until she could relay the entire thing without opening the book. Cats have a dominate place in her life, she is often ruled by the four she owns, but thankfully they have failed to take over her writing, yet.
When she was 17-years-old, Hannah began writing as a way of dealing with her own anxiety. The story written during this time will forever remain hidden from the world, but was the catalyst for her drive to become a writer. Much of her own experience as a teenager and these struggles have been carefully woven into fiction for her first novel, Olivia Moss & Ty Collins VS the World.
At 23, she is still figuring life out but is firmly driven by the need to help teenagers, like the girl she once was, navigate adolescence through her writing. She is now embarrassingly confident in the person she is, a feminist, coffee-addicted, cat-loving, regularly-fangirling, struggling artist who strives to share her compassion and obsessions with the world.
