Chapter 1

The mankind had no idea when celebrating and welcoming the year 2020 mirthfully that a profound silence was quietly looking forward to clutch the world in unseen claws of Corona virus which would later be encapsulated as Wuhan virus, beguiled as out of racism. I dedicate my book to all the people who affirmed a long goodbye to their loved ones, who knew that most of us would have our loved ones.

Chapter Two

It was a usual day which was dawned by the rising of the sun in the east , air was touching my locks my cheeks , I collected my books and moved towards the threshold of my little home in a refugee camp near the Afghan border, my steps were followed by my mother who was asking me to have my breakfast before leaving to my school where my beautiful and brave teacher was waiting for all of us who are living in the refugee camp like me . I knew what my mother was asking me to eat, few dried leftover loaves of bread with a little tea. It happened every morning, eventually I had to consume it to make my mother glad. My teacher was also an afghan refugee who some how make herself educated while she lived as a refugee in Peshawar, later she got married to an Afghan mujahid who was martyred in the war on the rocks of Afghanistan. She had devoted her life to teach refugee girls and we all worshipped her as a goddess.

The new year 2020 was almost the same for the refugees like me  but we had not lost a hope to win the battle of our miserable displacement . I and my friends were at our school , we did not have the slightest thought of the pandemic as we had been to the worst rampant of war and terrorism for ages, till the time when few men who came to visit our school and distributed soaps and masks to wear . They delivered an awareness speech as how we supposed to safe ourselves by wearing the masks and washing our hands with a soap properly. I returned to my home where my little siblings were having their meal which was a little better than our breakfast , I knew that if there would be anything left then we may had our dinner or in other way would slumber with our famished bellies. When my siblings saw that mask and soap in my hand, they became so excited as quite unaware of the deadliest outbreak of infection. My father who worked as a daily waged labour when returned in the evening, was quite disturbed. He told my mother that the government had announced for a strict lockdown and he may not be able to go on work. we all fell into the fright of upcoming days of our hunger and misery . My father saw the soap and the mask which were in my youngest brother’s hand . My father inquired about that; I told him about the people who came to our school. My father smiled and said in a disappointing tone,

‘ May they provide us food for our survival .’

The next morning I came to know that our school was closed due to some epidemic as I did not know the name of that contagious infection. Our camp was hushed not out of fear rather out of our famished bellies as most of our men were daily wages earners.

Once at the twilight of the day, I mused that is this deadly outbreak far, far worst life threatening than the war and terrorism through which my people are suffering through pernicious epoch of war as forced by a lingering conflict. Afghan basti where extended families jam into small mud and concrete houses in tarpaulin shelters,

the people are more worried about food rather than the formidable novel coronavirus, which has already infected and killed hundreds of thousands across the globe.

Chapter Three

For six days and seven nights the citizens of ancient Rome watched helplessly as their city burned. The great fire that consumed Rome in A.D. 64 spread quickly and savagely. After it was over, 70 percent of the city had been destroyed.

As is usually seen in such mass tragedies, rumors began to wind through the devastated streets. Reports emerged that some men seen fanning the flames claimed they were under orders. As a result of the tremendous losses, the Roman people, feeling the effects of paranoia, looked for someone who might be responsible for the fire. They blamed their emperor Nero.

Nero, the fifth Roman emperor, is among the most despised figures from history for his horrific cruelty to early Christians and, as the legend goes, for playing the fiddle while Rome was consumed by fire.

Venice with its untouched architectural heritage, spectacular stretch in the Grand Canal and unmatched romantic vibes, there’s no questioning why people from all over the world flock here in the masses. Venice is one of the most famous cities in Italy. Then again, few places can be compared to Venice. There’s this incredible renaissance feeling to the city most likely sparked by the centuries-old, unchanged buildings, the canals and the views, one is looking at most of what Napoleon and Casanova saw all those years back.

How history registers the grim and evil times. The world witnesses that how this ghostly pandemic has affected Italy which  has posted more grim records related to the new coronavirus, the second country after the United States to overtake China in terms of infections as it announced almost 1,000 deaths in a day ,a worldwide record since the epidemic began.
