In April 2013 I decided to take my poetry blogging hobby one step further by participating in the annual A to Z Challenge blogging challenge and exploring a different for of poetry each day. It was both fun and challenging. I have tweaked my work and added bits over the following several months whenever I had a few moments of time with the hopes of sharing a complete A to Z poetry book. It has taken longer than I expected to complete due to my many everyday distractions, but I am excited to finally share this adventure with you.

I hope you will enjoy an exploration of poetry forms from A to Z as much as I have and will pen some of your own works along the way. 

An acrostic poem is a poem where the first letter of each line spells out the title of the poem or some other word.

Advancing on the upward
Slope of the mountain
Cresting the summit
Exulting in
Nature's
Treats

Zenith rises to
Orion's left;
Deneb Algedi
Indicates a trine with
Aries, Taurus, and
Capricorn
