Chapter 1: Yet Still I wait

By: Kristen Tze-Tu and Kate Hao

Single, female, 20 years old, looking for a man who likes a girl who

smiles. I’m from somewhere that

doesn’t really matter, wherever you think a girl who looks like me might

come from. I’m not looking for

much, I promise. Just someone to make me laugh. I like oysters and

butterfly gardens. I collect seashells.

I like to paint my nails. My favorite color is red like roses. I want our first

date to be perfect. If we go out,

I want you to buy me a drink. In my free time I like to watch movies. My

favorite movies are movies

about love. Movies about love taught me everything I know about how to

feel beautiful. Fun fact: when I

was 15 I tried to trim my bangs so sharp they might katana cut your

throat. But I’m not violent. Parents

like me. I’m soft around the edges. I look like a sweet girl. They know

what to expect from me. Don’t like

difficult? Don’t worry, you won’t notice me. I’m the shadow of an eyelash

on the wall. Someday, I want

you to buy me a house on the beach. I like water. I like to hold my breath

and feel myself waiting. Don’t

tell anyone, but sometimes I pretend I’m a fish. Aren’t I a catch? Before I

die I want to know how it feels

to be rescued. But I'm scared my hero will mistake another face for mine.

I think it’s happened before. --When his eyes first meet mine, I get lost in the color of my skin. He says,

“Little china doll, you look just

how I dreamt you would.” It makes me think wait, makes me think run

and find more girls just like you.”

He leaves and parts of me leave with him. --Single, female, 20 years old, looking for a man who likes a girl who

Chapter 2: Asian Factual Fiction: The Real Story?

by: Jessica Scatt

What a beautiful mystery....

-----

I had been mixing drinks the first time I saw her.  I saw her long, luscious raven-black hair down, and her smiling face was blooming like a flower in springtime. Jesus, it was love at first sight.

Just saying hi… and the natural volume at which she spoke was so sexy

“Um hi...vodka and tonic?”

“Oh uh… Hi, your name?”

“Xing Yi.”

“Sing Yi?”

“Xing Yi. Thank you...Jake?”

I nodded, a little weak knees at the demure, curious way she had just said my name.

And the girl of my dreams walked away.

-----

The next time I saw Xing Yi, was at Crazy Wok’s restaurant where she worked. I admit, I sort of followed her But when i got there...I kind of freaked. She was wearing this cute, but messy uniform. What do I say to her?

How old are you?

The last question was probably the most important. 24 or 14, I couldn’t tell when it came to Asian females.

“Jake!”

“I want you!”

She blushed a deep red, stared at me for a bit, longingly. If I put my hands out beside her, I’d have her cornered now. I’d have her trapped like a bird in a cage. Damn... were all asian dolls this beautiful? I had work to do.

----

I was checking the inventory of the bolts and nuts and screws, sold at the hardware store of my other workplace I worked at when she caught me by surprise. She was in skinny black jeans, a gorgeous nude jacket, fur-lined at the hood. She made the skinny jeans look delicious.

"Hi… would these two work together?"

It was The Body right here in front of me! She’d entered ‘my zone’ without breaking a sweat.

"That..wouldn’t be best, a 90 Watt’s too bright. See the text here? "

She handed me a light bulb box and held a compact desk lamp box in her other arm. Clutched against the chest her small hella grabbable would fit in palms nicely tittes

"What?"

Oh jeez. She’d caught me staring. But I couldn’t help myself- All that flashed in my mind was Crazy Wok Naked Body Crazy Wok Naked Body

I know Xing Yi wanted to love me all over. Let her body do the talking. Sexual chemistry, baby.

So I carefully reached over, resting one of my hands on the curve of her perky ass- she didn’t move. So I went lower, cupped my hand around her butt cheek, gave a light squeeze- I didn’t want to scare her off yet

“Im… XYZ.”

She seemed to mumble that quickly,

“You left out your status.”

“What?”

“Your status- The Yellow Alien- alien immigrant status.”

-----

I send my doll long, elaborate, emails of how well I would treat her if only she would give me the chance to be with her. It’s just something about Asian girls are so sexy. They’re clean, tiny, slim, and flexible.Who cares if I have an asian fetish? People had shoe fetishes, S&M, and all sorts of fetishes. If an Asian fetish was what gives me great satisfaction, then so be it. So...I’m having Chinese take out tonight.

------

Hi...My name is Xing Yi. I know you’ve heard his side of the story, how he’s in love with me...and that’s usually what everyone sees. A guy just in love….Not the guy that stands by my room window. It bothers me that people call this love. But...love doesn’t act like an obsession. How can it be love when I feel like an object waiting to be possessed? You didn’t see or hear about the emails about what he wanted to do to me, the way he said he’d tie me up... Because that’s what always happens. Our side of the story is never heard. We’re silent because we’re seen as submissive and ready to be possessed. I don’t want to have to wake up and question whether I’m a doll or if I’m an equal being. I’m so scared.
