Halloween
Halloween
Through the forest he walked
Not a sound was heard
Believing in ghosts, he thought,
Was terribly absurd
From the shadow came a blackbird
then came another, then a third
He stood rooted to the spot
With the birds above, he dare not trot
The silence of the night was very racking
Then he heard a tick-tacking
Up the winding path he went
Then he picked up a strange scent
But he did not know what that meant
And sat down with his back bent
A high pitch scream fills the air
Leave his location he would not dare
Then a sight of red
On his chest he had bled
But he was not dead
And a faint light appeared ahead
Then he awoke in his bed
It was all in his head
He could not believe what he had seen
This truly was a night of Halloween
