As you lay there upon your bed

With thoughts swirling around your head

I can hear your wishes being spoken

As I tip toe out so you’re not awoken 

Your dreams they brighten up the shade

In the corner of your room where your bed is made

The sound of breathing as it gently gives way 

To the sound of an Angel finding her way 

I turn to check that you are safe and warm

As I see your blanket clutched with it’s label torn

Could there be anything as beautiful as this?

How can I leave and be sure to miss!

These moments are ones of love and such 

As she lies in bliss from an Angels touch
