Inside I’m Different

The world could swallow me up but my face would never tell

My heart could beat a million times  before I put my hope in a wishing well

I could sit and joyfully sing whilst I silently fear the unknown

These unexpected surrounds make me wish I was alone

The comfort in expectation is like familiar sounds that brighten my soul

Where there is only degradation

my heart yearns to be whole
