Does Monopoly help build friendships or ruin them?

I’m starting to think Monopoly is both a friendship test and a social experiment. Last time I played with my group, one of my closest friends refused to trade with me for two hours out of pure spite. It was funny, but a bit intense too. After the game, we all laughed about it, but I can’t help but wonder — does Monopoly bring people closer or secretly fuel competition that leads to drama?

Honestly, every good friendship should survive at least one Monopoly war. If you can make it through a three-hour match without hard feelings, you’re solid.
