Family caregiver burnout and daily self-care balance

I decided to write here because lately I feel constantly tired while caring for my family member. I love being involved and helping every day, but over time the routine started affecting my sleep, mood, and even basic motivation. I often skip meals, forget about rest, and feel guilty whenever I think about taking time for myself. It seems like my whole day revolves around caregiving, and I am not sure how to stay supportive without completely draining my own energy. I wonder if others have felt the same and how they managed daily responsibilities without burning out emotionally and physically.

Your situation sounds very familiar, and I went through something similar while supporting a loved one. What helped me was changing how I looked at self-care, not as something selfish but as part of caregiving itself. I once read [Self-care for family caregivers](https://impactfulhomecare.com/academy/self-care-for-family-caregivers/), and it really explained why proper sleep, regular meals, short breaks, and emotional support matter so much. The idea that setting small boundaries and asking for help is healthy made a big difference for me. After that, I started planning simple daily routines that included time to recharge.
