Anyone actually using open-source VPNs? Are they more trustworthy?
I'm getting increasingly concerned about online privacy these days, especially with all the data breaches and tracking going on. I've been thinking about using a VPN, but the sheer number of options is overwhelming. Ideally, I'd want one that doesn't keep logs of my activity and also blocks ads, since those are super annoying. Does anyone have recommendations for services that offer both of these features? It would be nice to have decent streaming speeds too, so I can watch my shows without buffering!
It’s definitely valid to be concerned about privacy. I've been using VPNs for a while now, and it can be tricky to find one that ticks all the boxes. I recently switched to https://toggle.org/ because they advertise "no logs" and have a built-in ad blocker. I also wanted something easy to set up and use, since I'm not super tech-savvy, and it's been working well for me so far. No noticeable slowdown in speed when streaming either!
