Anyone actually using open-source VPNs? Are they more trustworthy?
I'm getting increasingly concerned about online privacy these days, especially with all the data breaches and tracking going on. I've been thinking about using a VPN, but the sheer number of options is overwhelming. Ideally, I'd want one that doesn't keep logs of my activity and also blocks ads, since those are super annoying. Does anyone have recommendations for services that offer both of these features? It would be nice to have decent streaming speeds too, so I can watch my shows without buffering!
It's interesting how the VPN market has evolved. A few years ago, most people were just using them to bypass geo-restrictions and watch content from other countries. Now, it seems like privacy and security are the main drivers for adoption. The features available today compared to back then are so different now.
