Historical vs modern buhurt weapons - are the fighting styles different?
Alright I have to ask, how different even are historical weapons from stuff people use today? Now I am aware that people are out there making modern improvements all the time. I thought I’d come here and ask if the fighting styles are completely different in the age we now live in. Are the fighting styles altered completely based on modern construction techniques? Is there really even a big change or am I just being crazy?
It's worth considering how helmet design changed over centuries in response to the needs of visibility and protection. Early helmets often prioritized protecting the head at the expense of all else. Later, more and more designs included greater field of vision due to the ever-changing demands of combat. If you can't see anything, you are a sitting duck.
