Has anyone tried using a business software consultant for their company?

Our company uses a pretty extensive suite of business software for everything from customer relationship management to project collaboration. While these tools are powerful, I sometimes feel like we're not fully leveraging them, or that the configurations could be more tailored to our specific workflows. I'm wondering if anyone here has experience hiring a business software consultant to help optimize their systems. What was your experience like? Did it provide good value, and what kind of outcomes did you see?

It's an interesting point that bespoke configuration can unlock so much more potential from off-the-shelf software. Many businesses spend a lot on licensing powerful tools but don't always have the internal expertise to fully customize and integrate them for optimal performance. The idea of bringing in outside specialists for that kind of fine-tuning seems like a practical approach to maximize those investments.
