BASED ON TRUE EVENTS

 It was a sunny morning in Colima, Mexico. My sister was working on her new job and I was at home, bored. At the time she was 16 and I was 8. Life was different to me now. She had to do adult stuff since she had a baby. To whom I hated then. She woke up early one morning to get ready, I heard her noise so I got up too.

"It's too early for you to be making this noise" I said 

"Shut up i'm in a hurry" she replied walking back and fourth.

She had changed....

I guess all woman change when they have babies I thought to myself back then. 

She had left and I went back to sleep. 

"Why are you so late Leila?" The boss told my sister

"So sorry" my sister replied

Baby Daniel was sleeping peacefully at my house. I was his nanny. 

"Can I see this radio?" Said a voice

My sister turned.

"Sure" she said

A guy was standing infront of her. As soon as she turned around his expression changed. He was tall, or at least taller than her. Dark hair and dark eyes. Light skin but sunburned.

"So what's your name?" He asked

"Leila" she replied

"Nice. I'm Albert." He smiled

"Nice to meet you" she smiled back,"Here is the radio"

"Thanks" and he left.

My sister was impressed by the guy. But not as impressed as the future events developed.

The day was over and my sister was on her way home. Baby Daniel was sleep as always and I was watching t.v. My mom was cooking spaghetti. 

"Home" a voice said

"Daniel mommy is here" I said

But he was too young to understand but I guess he got my message when he saw her.

"Dinner" mom said

And that was our routine.

 A week had passed and nothing had changed except my homework everyday. 

My sister was at work and I was on school break. My mom had gone shopping so I had some lady as my nanny. Daniel was playing around and I loved when I would play parent with him. At that age I knew what pregnancy was and what being a mom meant. So, as all child thinking of the future I wanted to have kids one day.

"So what do you say we go out for lunch?" Albert asked

"Sure" my sister said 

At my age I knew how things with my sister and Daniel's dad went. He was the same age as Leila. 

"He is not my kid" he once said

Daniel had his mom at least and her love, or at least my kid mind thought.

*2 years later*

"You know she is cheating right?" A guy said 

"I don't want to know" Albert replied, "we have been dating for 2 years"

"So?" The guy replied

"I love her" albert cried

"Look, Albert. You have to realize who she truly is. She's not loyal. She doesn't love you"

"Stop" begged Albert

"You have to confront her. It's the only way you saw it yourself" the guy continued,"She was with many guys on that van and you perfectly saw what was happening. Are you gonna let this continue?

"This is destroying me. We were planning to marry.."

"Do you seriously want to marry her being like that?" The guy asked

Albert didn't answer.

 My 11th birthday arrived and I considered myself a lady. ~laughs~

"Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to Ely. Happy birthday to you!" All sang

The days following were bit weird. My sister took a few days off work and that was weird to me at least.

They had all left which I love because of the freedom.

The bell had rang so I went to see who it was. It was a guy that looked 5 years older than my sister.

"Hello" I said

"Is Leila here?" He asked

"No, who are you?" I asked

"Albert" he replied

"You're my sister's boyfriend right?" I asked

"Yes" he replied,"she never introduced me to you"

"I'm Ely. I'm 10" I said 

"Nice to meet you. Please tell your sister I was here" he finished,"goodbye"

"Bye" I closed the door

*3 hours later*

"Home" mom and Leila said

"Leila your boyfriend was here" I said

"You let him in?" She screamed

"No" I replied

"You better not" 

"Okay?" I said 

"Hey calm down" mom said

Leila was now on my face.

"Chill okay i'm just passing his message" I explained

"I don't need you to do that" she replied

I stayed quiet.

"Chill" mom said 

Leila walked to the kitchen angry. I followed her.

"Can you explain to me what exactly is your problem?" I asked

"Leave" she replied

"I said chill" mom walked in,"She is not like you"

"Stay out of it mom" Leila replied

"Oh really? I know the reason why Albert might of come"

I was confused.

"Stay out" Leila had walked out.

"What is it mom?" I asked

"Later" she left too

Weeks passed and Albert and my sister had broken up.
