Who could have guessed the truth to all would teach.

Would come from a stone lying tarnished on solitary beach.

Danny sat on a cliff breathing stagnant in the air.

Waiting for family to return and desperately wishing for a chair.

He stared down to to the sand perplexed at the slab.

An object had washed ashore in a heap made of material one would find in a lab.

Danny pushed his hands onto the rock beneath.

The feeling was true of decades of grinding your teeth.

He looked to his leg.

A mess in a peg.

A vehicle ran down the poor soul on a run.

Cause if the use of his limb to be ostensibly done.

Groaning from effort he reached his jet cane.

With a rubber bottom for balance in rain.

Hobbling down with relative ease.

Reaching the sand below flaring pain in the knees.

The thing near the water was the size of a manhole.

It’s color was solid and dark as the night with a minor shine to match the deepest coal.

Danny bent to examine closer and with a careful eye.

Letters of an origin unknown reflected the sun sitting high in the sky.

From many angles the wording changed from foreign launguage to symbol.

From hyroglyphs, hieratic, Arabic, and even images of shells and coral.

From an angle perfect for view.

The letters to English shape in font that was new.

The text came as a shock to all who would read.

It gave a choice of reward either mentality or deed.

Both options spoke of happiness and cheer.

Though it warned only one was honestly clear.

Aside from the choices there stood writing below.

Warning the finders if powers to show.

Only one could be chosen and come out ahead.

The wrong one would spread hatred and dread.

The choice must be made for all who see.

If not the consiquences would make eternity in hell seen as get out of jail free.

The first option as told granted deed of no pain.

The pain in his legs would completely refrain.

The cane would be useless.

His legs to become flawless.

Danny’s eyes widened at the prospect of freedom.

The cast and the cane no longer in tandem.

How could one say no?

The option granted be taken to just get up and go.

Although he knew that the wrong choice was half of this outcome.

A selfish choice in keeping with material or income.

The other choice was one of equal positivity.

How could one choose when the wrong was not obvious in its exclusivity?

For a happy marriage this side did suggest.

A guaranteed family to come into the nest.

Although one could lead very well the the next.

The choice was not obvious or defined in the text.

Danny’s choice would be permanent and stuck.

Regardless of madness, power, money or luck.

Today things would change and Danny could tell.

His would improve as does the larger the bell.

He panicked and paused.

Thinking through all the pain each choice could have possibly caused.

Nothing was sure.

Although his motives were pure.

The concept of walking proved the biggest draw.

Even though his body was warned of the definite last straw.

He wanted it to be right.

The truth could not escape his plain and narrow sight.

To bring someone else into the fold.

Promised life, energy and a partner so bold.

The promise of a companion was selfish but perfect.

A love introduced.

A woman to adore.

This destiny guaranteed less pain and suffering by including much more.

Danny reach ahead and touched the stone.

It was soft to the touch as running hands across and clean animal bone.

The words shine bright.

In a moment disappeared into black as the night.

The stone levitated off the ground and faced the young man for a moment.

His reflection told of a human desperate for atonement.

The rock did hang.

Until the air filled with a clang.

The stone shot through the air with power in train.

Knocked Danny to the ground with a strike to the brain.

Sun when awake and moon as awoke.

He coughed and hacked with a choke.

A voice echoed in beyond the blurry.

The word hello being said with panic and fury.

Danny focused his eyes as fast as human could.

Upon seeing the source smiled as human should.

A beautiful girl hung above.

Could this be the promise of complete and endless love?

No one could know at the point was changed.

Needless to say the pain was not completely estranged.

The reality was a feeling of peace.

The girl may be the permanent or the lease.

Regardless of stones, or destiny, or choice.

Danny felt better and will and ready to recover and allow to enjoy and rejoice.
