I'm Dawn. I'm 12 and I;m in grade 7. I have an older sister, a younger sister and a younger brother. I'm skinny and average height. I have caramel skin and curly hair. (My hair is only curly when I don’t straighten it)  My crush? We'll get into that later on. His name is, I'll give you a hint. The first letter is D. that's all I'm gonna tell you right now. Okay now that I've introduced myself, I'm just going to jump right into my story. 

“It's finally the end of the day at school!” I say to my best friend. I sigh in relief. “Ya.” Penelope (aka my best friend) said. “Are you free to come to my house?” I ask. “No I have to...”Penelope stops. I wonder if she's going to make up an excuse. “I have to go to my math tutor.” She says. Although she sounds suspicious, I didn't say anything. “Oh.”  I say. I feel rejected and chocked. Before neither of us say anything, there was an awkward pause for about 3 seconds. “Well, see you tomorrow!” Penelope says quickly snapping back to her normal self. “Oh! Okay um bye.” I say feeling let down. Penelope walks off with her mom out of the school property. I start walking home. As I walk home, I see a group of male teenagers. I think there's about 6 of them. All of them are yelling to a rap song blasting out of a speaker that one of them is holding. For some reason, I think negatively about what I think would happen next. I thought that they would approach me and physically hurt me. At least they're on the other side of the street. I promise myself to keep walking and not look back.  Okay I look back. But I promise it's the last time I do so. Luckily, they turn onto a different street. Seconds later, I reach an intersection. I look all four ways and there was one car behind me. Wait a second I recognize that car. It's Penelope's! I see her sitting in the front seat. I wave to her. She looked in my direction. Somehow she didn't see me. How come she didn't notice me? Again, I feel rejected. 3 minutes later I reach my house. I made it safe and sound. 

As I step into my house, I see my older sister Maria sitting on our couch on her phone. Maria is 15 and she's so pretty unlike me. Well, I'm not ugly but I'm not as pretty as Maria. “Hello.”  I say. “Hi.” Maria responds. “Dawn, please go away, I need to FaceTime my friend and we're gonna talk about grown up stuff.” “I wasn't gonna stay here anyways.” I say kind of angry. “Where's mom and dad?” I ask. “Still at work I guess.” She replies. “OK.” I say as if I'm not worried that they're not home yet.

 I walk upstairs.  I walk down our big hallway and I enter my nice and big room. I immediately get my diary out of my drawer from my desk and star writing about what happen today at school. Dear diary, my crush talked to me today. He's so freaking hot. His name is Darrien. Guess what he said to me. Okay i'll say it. "You have a good sense of humor." I was probably blushing so much. I'm never gonna forget that. Well that's all for today! Bye!-Dawn 

Knock! knock! Someone starts knocking at my door. I shove my diary into my drawer and I open my door. “Hi.” My little sister Zoey said. “What's up?” I ask her. “What did I get for Christmas?” She asks. “And why would I tell you that?” I ask her and give her an ARE YOU STUPID?! look. “Because.” She says as if she were boss. “Well, I'm not telling you cause that ruins the whole point.” I say. “Ugh Whatever.” Zoey says. “I'm gonna go ask Maria.” She continues. “Oh yeah she will definitely tell you.” I say sarcastically. Zoey leaves. 

I close the door behind her. I get my phone and I start watching YouTube. I watch a bit of SourTuber considering I am a huge fan of “Soura’s Legend.” Soura’s Legend is about a girl named Soura who lives in Vesk Hollow. It’s basically about her story. After that, I think of what Penelope is actually doing. Because I think she told me an excuse.
