Chapter 1

One day Owl was reading new woodland news as she read she noticed an article about the Edinburgh Air Show at first she thought of birds soaring through the air. Then suddenly Bat burst through the door holding the television box "let's go to the Air Show!" Shouted Bat as she almost fell onto the bed.

"What?" Said Owl

"The Air Show you know the one that's held in Edinburgh?"

"Yes I was just looking at an article in the newspaper about that here look"

Edinburgh Air Show Takes Flight

The Edinburgh

The Air Show is apparently going to be amazing as there are new planes joining the Red Arrows. Everyone is hyped up for this event which is going to be pretty special this year seeing as it's the queens 90th. We interviewed Monty Owlin and she said

"I didn't enjoy the Air Show last year so I don't see why I'll enjoy it this year it's really just a band of planes flying around propelling red white and blue smoke so it's not really any different to the tattoo"

But we also spoke to her sister Ellen Owlin and she said

"I have seen this show twice and I've loved it so I don't see why I'll dislike it this year and it's going to be a special so I'm really looking forward to it I truly cannot wait!"

We hope you enjoy it too!

"Alright then let's go!" Said Bat excitedly "Wait wait! We have to book the tickets first!!"

Chapter 2

Owl put the news paper down and jumped off her bed, she started leading Bat out the doorway of what they called home Bat and Owl swooped down to the ground and landed lightly on their feet.

They started flying off to the ticket booth the sun was coming up they didn't have much time, they flapped their wings faster and faster they soon went speeding off into the slight shimmer of the suns rays. The tension grew as they neared the booth they could see the yellow glow of the sun as  the booth came into sight  their eyes sharpened they darted past the trees and animals that lay below. Finally they arrived just in time, they glided to the ground and walked in. When they got in they queued up and waited about five minutes till they were served

"2 tickets to the National Air Show please!" Said Owl

"That'll be £70.50p thanks." Said the scarlet coloured fox behind the small desk

"Here you go ma'am." Owl said as she handed the precious money into the petite paws of the fox.

They dawdled out of the booth and the sun started shining everyone was in bed and they were getting battered by the shine of the big yellow ball in the sky. They got their wings ready and sprung off their feet and landed in the arms of the wind and the sky. They swirled and swooped through the small spaces between the trees it wasn't so busy now in fact there was barely anyone outside at all. They flew above the homes of the owls and bats in the area Owl could feel the wind in her feathers and Bat could feel the cold and the wet of the air. Neither of them were having a good time going home then eventually their home the hollowed out tree came into sight and they were so happy to see it. When they got in they were tired and worn out from the tiring fly home they wished they'd taken a taxi instead but now they were home and were in bed.

The next night was the night of the Air Show and Bat and Owl were so excited they could explode. It was in a few hours and they needed to get ready Bat put her light pink sparkly bow on and a pink sparkly dress whereas Owl put on a purple off the wing dress. A few hours later they were going out  tickets in wing but then someone approached them and said:

"Hello my dears I am sir Lorelott and I am here to tell ye that ye have been chosen to do a speech at the national Air Show in Edinburgh does ye accept?"

The friends were speechless mouths hanging open they said:

"Yes we accept!"

"Hurrah!" Said sir Lorelott

They followed Sir Lorelott to backstage and then suddenly they heard someone say their name telling them to come to the stage
