I'm an MFA candidate at University of Arkansas-Monticello, where I also teach Composition in an online setting. I also teach Composition for Saginaw Valley State University and Mid-Michigan Community College. I'm all over the place. I live the adjunct's life like a boss. Oh, I'm married, too, and my wife does an incredible job of putting up with me. She should win all the awards.
I also write. Like, a lot. It all started back in 2001 when I began my first novel. By the time I completed it in 2003, I was so proud of the pile of rubbish I'd created, I knew I'd have to go to college for Creative Writing.
Between the time I began my BA program at SVSU and finished my MA program at Central Michigan University, I was fortunate enough to publish a few short stories in a variety of literary journals. I have not, however, published a novel to this point (I self-published the pile of rubbish from the early 2000s, but it's since been pulled. Permanently. There's no fixing that thing).
I have a tendency to start things. I do not have a tendency to finish things. By "things" I mean stories. By "stories" I mean novels. So, technically, I have about twenty novels-in-progress, though the only one I'm invested in at the moment is the one I'm working on for this year's NaNoWriMo.
Oh, I have a dog. A boxer. His name's Brady. He's important, too.
