Just a little poetry from the past couple of years. It's taken awhile to actually do anything with them but here it is. 

Baby I’ll eat you whole.

My savage heart 
wants to claw through 
your flesh and cherish your bones.

This feral beating
in my chest threatens
to take over ever time we touch.

As it thumps too wild,
I worry that one day
I’ll bite to hard.

That your wounds 
won't be sealed and
you’ll finally see me 
for the monster I am.

i. 
I’m screaming SAVE ME,  
but I’M BROKEN 
is all they hear.

ii. 
They gave up. 
They threw me away.

iii. 
I’m still screaming, 
but no one can hear. 
I’m still broken, 
but no one can tell.

iv. 
I am not broken. 
I am mending.

v. 
You look at me 
like you know. 
Let’s prove them wrong.
