Freddy.
Chapter One
Hi. I'm a wolf. Yet I don't have a family; or a name. My pack has nicknames, one of mine was Amber. Not that long ago, well, ten minutes ago, I wanted to explore. I got lost and couldn't find my way back to my pack. I had just walked in a strait line after that. I wish I would have known what was happening! I actually should tell you about a rumor going around my pack. Its about ‘magic wolfs’. But yes, its true, but they're called Crystal Wolfs. I am one, that's how I knew. By the way, I am only a half-grown wolf. Then I accidentally wandered off into town. And, well, I kind of fell asleep. Then right now, like, ten seconds ago, I woke up. Well, I just noticed I woke up… BUT IN A CAGE!!!! HumANS HuMAns… Well, most likely humans. I could smell ‘em. The scent got stronger, no longer stale.
I wish I could see colors, see where I am. A man came out, and said, “aw, an orange puppey. Cute.” First, I was not a dog, second, I’m not orange, am I? But I was a girl. I had been paying so much attention to the man, that only had I just noticed, there was a girl behind him. “Arron, she is more of a brownish orange. Come here little dog…” Said the woman. I barked, I growled, snapped my teeth at them. “Wendy, she needs a Muzzle.” Said Arron. Muzzle? What is a Muzzle?
And I was not a dog! Arron walked out of the room. “Go get the other dog.” He said. Seriously? I hate dogs! “Come here, boy.” I heard that coming from Wendy.
“I'm gonna go get that Muzzle for Freddy,” said Arron.
Well, I guess I'm Freddy. And the dog was a boy. I have absolutely no Idea what's going on. Arron was coming near my cage. What did he want? He had something in his hand. He opened the cage.
I bit him. I bit him a lot. ALoT. He just kept hurting me. He slammed my cage. “UrGH! Go gEt SoMEbODy To hElP Me!!" Arron screeched. Arron walked away from my cage. “LeMMe OuT!” I asked. “Bad dog, Freddy! No barking!” Arron replied meanly. I'M NOT A DOG! But I was tired. I went to sleep.
I was in the forest. This had to be a dream. My mother and father had died years ago, and when my brother died, I was alone. None of us had names, but I called my brother Ret. He was so special to me when he died. I walked deeper into the forest, and saw my brother. “Hello… Freddy.” "He-
“Hello.” I WOKE UP TO A VOICE! What did my brother want to say??? “Hello,” the voice said again. I looked to my right. That dog- wolf..? “Hello. WhAT is tHIs anNoyInG thInG On mY fAcE!!??” I barked. “A Muzzle. I'm Zach. Your Freddy the new do-”
“WOLLLF!!!!” I barked.
“Wolf.” Said Zach; twitching a little. Zach stared at me. “Yes? Waiting for something? Are you dead?" I said.
“Um, no, not really… Just waiting for a pretty wolf to say something.” Said Zach.
“Well, let's wait for that pretty wolf then.” I laughed. “Also, why let them take you?” I asked.
“Well, I had no choice,” said Zach. I nodded, pretending I knew what kind of no choice. “Well- never mind.” I changed my mind about telling him about my family. What- “Tell me.” He interrupted my thoughts. “Its ok.”
“Well… All-of-my-family-died-and-I-had-no-choice-but-” I took a breath, “joining-another-pack.”
“I'm so sorry I-"
“Had no idea? You wouldn't understand anyways. “
“Actually, I do. I got separated from my pack, but it must feel worse to have dead family. The wolf that took care of me I called Selena. And then they took me here, away from her.” Said Zach.
“I understand losing people who mean so much to you.” I said sympathetically.
Chapter Two
I woke up the next morning. “YESS!” Yelled Arron. There were loud noises that I could hear. Grr! My ears! I must sleep through a lot when I have to wake up in the day. “Wow, you're a deep sleeper.” I heard Zach's voice. And you'd think, they just met, they like each other? I can't know the answer to that. “Yeah, what do you care?” I said. “And why did Arron wake me up???”
“This is a circus Freddy! Animals do tricks!"
“And..?”
“You have to have learn them! Ugh, Freddy…”
“What?? Are you making fun of me?" I laughed.
“No, just I-”
“Am trying to be my teacher?” I said.
“No, Freddy-”
“No, Freddy, I'm your mama, and you listen to me.” I laughed again. He was silly, how could he teach me something..?
The world knows. Not me. “So-what-are-you-trying-to-say," I said quickly.
“I'm trying to say that Arron, Wendy, Grace, and Adam are going to teach us tricks.”
“Grace and Adam? There is MORE??”
“Yes Freddy, two people can't run a circus, and teach someone like you alone, while trying to teach me. Even four people can't run this thing, there are m-”
“MORE?????”
“Yes, want me to name them quickly?”
“Hah, five times fast.”
“Arron, Wendy, Grace, Adam, Lucas, Alvin, Silver, Moon, Olivia, Emma, Micheal, Harper, Luna, Damon, Dexter, Arron, Wendy, Grace, Adam, Lucas, Alvin, Silver, Moon, Olivia, Emma, Micheal, Harper, Luna, Damon, Dexter, Arron, Wendy, Grace, Adam, Lucas, Alvin, Silver, Moon, Olivia, Emma, Micheal, Harper, Luna, Damon, Dexter, Arron, Wendy, Grace, Adam, Lucas, Alvin, Silver, Moon, Olivia, Emma, Micheal, Harper, Luna, Damon, Dexter, Arron, Wendy, Grace, Adam, Lucas, Alvin, Silver, Moon, Olivia, Emma, Micheal, Harper, Luna, Damon, Dexter, Arron, Wendy, Grace, Adam, Lucas, Alvin, Silver, Moon, Olivia, Emma, Micheal, Harper, Luna, Damon, Dexter, ” He said them so fast it blew my mind. “Wow.” I simply replied. “That is a lot of names. So sixteen people work here? Who runs it?" I asked. “Grey.” Said Zach. “And his wife, Mariana.”
“Well… how long have you been here to know all these names so well. So there is actually eighteen people?”
“Yep. And I have been here a week."
“A WEEK? THATS IT!? Wow.” I said.
He had to be smart… Very. “Have you heard of the legend of Crystal Wolfs?” I quickly asked.
“Every wolf has.” Zach replied.
“O-ok.” I said, trying to sound calm.
“YA NASTY MUTTS GOTTA TRAIN. ZACH, HERE. NOW.” Ordered Arron, watching us.
“Good luck with Moon, and of course, Damon, too. One person can't train you alone.” I slowly watched Zach walk away, and when he was out of my attention, I felt a hat on my head. I knocked it off. “Freddy!” I heard somebody call from the end of the room. This must be Moon. And I saw a boy, that must be Damon.
After training, I was scarred and had learn't nothing. About an hour later, Zach came back looking as miserable as me. I heard Arron say into a phone, “we might need to hold back the big opening…” And then Arron walked out of the room.
“How was it?” Asked Zach.
“Bad, you?” I asked,
“same.” Zach replied. I could see they had to have hit his muzzle, but I couldn't see anything else. “Welp. You're better than me,” I said.
“Not really, Moon and Damon are just harder on you than Micheal and Wendy are to me.”
“Ugh.”
“They chose two of the hardest for you, because you are- look- harder to train.”
“Do you know everything?”
“Um.”
“Tell me?” I wanted to know. He never told me for that whole day, and in three days he still hadn't told me.
I woke up and put my paw through my cage, into his. I knew he was already awake. “What…” He said. “I know it's the middle of the night, but… we need to get out of here.” I said. Then Zach said, “Freddy I don't know h-”
“how we could p-”
“how we could possibly get out of here, yes.” Said Zach.
“Zach…”
“Yes, Freddy..?” Zach said my name in a tone I had never heard him speak with.
“Zach, you don't have a Muzzle, and you could help us get out of here. Unless you don't want to…”
“Freddy, I want to stay with you… I-” Zach paused. W
"Zach, we have to get out of here. Please.” I said. “Zach… I'm a Crystal-”
“Freddy… that is the same secret I've been keeping.”
“But I know you don't want to go with with me…” I didn't want my words to be true, but they may be…
“No, Freddy, don't think that. I want to, but it isn't possible.” Said Zach.
“everything is possible if you believe! But you don't! I can't believe you, Zach! You don't actually want to help me do this! I am truly alone. You don't know what it feels like, having people you once loved dead! ESPECIALLY IF ALL OF THEM ARE DEAD! GONE! I HAVE NOTHING TO LIVE MY LIFE FOR IN THIS CIRCUS! Help, me, Zach. Please” I said. I wasn't sure how he would answer.
Well, he didn't answer. He looked at me, then started chewing at the lock. “Freddy, look-" Said Zach. I started hitting the Muzzle on my face into the bars. “Freddy, don't hurt yourself…”
“Even if I do hurt myself I know what I am doing!”
“Freddy, we can try when they let us out to-”
“I don't want to get hurt anymore! Zach, they are easy on you, me? No way. I quit Zach. Let them torture me, I have nothing to do. With this Muzzle, I can't do anything.” I said.
I felt alone. When he talked to me, I didn't pay attention. at this point, I was totally alone. I didn't know what to do without Zach.
The next morning, I just stayed still. I held my breath multiple times. I didn't do anything but come out of my cage when they told me to, for training. By the end of the day, I was limping to my cage. I saw Zach, only one scratch added to him. “Freddy! What-”
“What happened is what I told you last night I would do.”
“You let them torture you?”
“Yep. What else could I do? Try? No! I don't even know what they're saying!" I said.
“Why Freddy? Why?” Said Zach. Then in response I said, “because I have no purpose! I'm useless! I am-”
“Freddy, whatever you say next it won't be true. None of it is or will be true.” Interrupted Zach. I knew they were.
“Are you sure? Zach, I know last night you made it clear that you didn't want to leave with me-"
“I do Freddy, I DO.” Said Zach. I had never heard him raise his voice, so it startled me.
“Sorry, Freddy.” It sounded as if Zach knew he had scared me a little.
“Zach, I can't leave without your help. If you don't want to leave, at least help me out of here.”
“Freddy, what I'm saying is that I cannot get out of here at all.” Said Zach. I flashed my Crystal Wolf form, but not on purpose.
He flashed his to his too. Probably an accident, maybe purpose. He looked at me. I didn't know what powers Crystal Wolfs have, but… Wolfs can't see colors. So maybe if… YES!!! I COULD SEE COLORS!
Finally. My dream come true... One of them. The crystals on my back were black, all of them tiny. They covered all of my fur. They were so tiny it was like fur, not crystals. Then I said, “Zach, use your powers. I can see colors.” Then Zach said, “ok,” then paused. Then after the medium sized pause, he said, “the world is like a different place now.”
“Yes, it is. You think we could use our-”
“yes. I think we could get out of here. Wait, you're black?"
“No, this is my Crystal Form. They're so tiny, aren't they?”
“Yes, they look-”
“like fur?”
“Yes, like fur.”
“Zach, can I see your form?”
“Oh-”
“Please?”
“Ok.” Said Zach. His original fur was gray, then his form was night black, like mine. “Wow.” I said. “We look the same kind of.” Zach looked surprised when I said that. Then as a response, he said, “I'm black too?”
“Yes, now lets g-” I started saying, ‘yes, now let's go,’ but the sun was coming up. I quickly went out of my form and so did Zach. “I hate this Muzzle.” I said, “it itches. But we can't get out of here if anyone can see us, Zach." When I went out of my form, the colors I saw faded away like there was a sponge draining them.
In training, Moon said, “Freddy, jump.” I didn't understand. Zach saw me from the other side of the tent, unlike how he hadn't so many times.
Zach looked worried about me, but I nodded my head to the side to signal for him to keep doing his thing at training. He didn't look away. I was lying down, so I got up incase that made him happy. He turned his head back, but then continued staring at me. I nodded my head telling him I'm okay. He finally turned back, I thought he was done looking at me, but then he turned back and padded over to me. “What? Zach, what?” I said. Well awkwardly, he said, “Just howl with me.”
“Wh-”
“do it.” I did as he said. And we ran. RAN. They couldn't catch us, we were too fast. By the time we reached the woods, which weren't that far away, we stopped running, and then we just looked at each other. “Well-” I started, then he finished, “yes, I will get that Muzzle off for you.”
He did get it off, in a surprisingly fast period of time. “YESS. That thing was about itching me to death!" I said, “now, Zach, what are you planning to do next?” I was expecting a not as fast answer, but he answered with saying, really quickly, “I love you.”
ok, I love how they all turn crystal form, about to escape, then Freddy says "I hate this Muzzle. It itches."
Chapter Three
“Me too.” I said. I heard humans coming. “Run, Freddy!” Said Zach. Wait. Wait. That was not human smell. It was a bear; I screamed as it pushed its way through the trees. “Zach, come on!” I said. I started running. As Zach and the bear's scent faded, I noticed he was back there.
I quickly turned to my form. I rushed back and noticed Zach had been swatted aside and now was on the ground, motionless. “Zach?” I said. He turned his head a little. He was playing dead, I think. The bear didn't seem to notice his movement as I ran.
Zach sprang up to his feet and got into his form. I ran like it was the last day of my life. Zach came up behind the bear and jumped onto it. The bear stopped, so I had time to jump onto it with Zach. We ripped out its fur, while it jumped rapidly to get us off.
We bit at it, as hard as we could. The bear had ripped out fur, and scars; so I thought it was getting weaker. I slowly climbed up toward the bears neck, fastening my teeth into its flesh on the way. I finally got up to its neck, and fastened my teeth into it; biting as hard as I could. It finally managed to get us off its back, and it ran away. “That better teach you a lesson!” I yelled after it.
Me and Zach watched it until it faded away into the distance. We looked at each other for a second. I didn't know what he would say, or do, next.
ooh, SO EXITING- but I know what's gonna happen meh.
I hope you guys like it!!!
