An Observation

Here's the thing: there are certain people in this world able to turn their emotions on and off - to fake feelings. I can't expect you to understand unless you've been there.

Perhaps you've experienced some monumental tragedy that has left you constantly crumbling on the inside. Maybe you can't feel. But, for a sliver of time, you can trick yourself into experiencing the emotions you lack inside. Trick yourself into believing anger and love and greed and happiness all exist. Because at one point, you had a frame of mind in which you did co-exist with your soul.

You've gone rotten, though. You look yourself in the mirror and cannot understand why you're the way you are. Numbingly perusing through life without a shred of care. You take for granted the emotions of others just so you can feel a semblance of light in your dark, soulless frame.

Everything can get better. You have to want it to. You have to destroy the concrete walls built in your mind - bulldoze them down until you feel. Take responsibility for your actions. Let the realness of everything awaken your mental state. Welcome the tears. Let the anger weigh heavy on your heart and destroy the barricades you put up.

Be human.
