Introduction

So I found this super cool writing prompt online and thought, "Why not?" I hope you guys can pick up on it. I'm not sticking to it strictly as I find the parameters ridiculous (Who can pick just one?!?!?). You'll see what I mean soon. Enjoy! :))))

Any Other Day

"Sam, get up,  you're going to be late for school!"

I groan and then roll over. My clock reads 6:15. Ugh. I drag myself out of bed and to my bathroom. I look in the mirror and rub the sleep from my eyes. I look like the bride of death. I pull out my toothbrush and put on an obscene amount of toothpaste on the bristles.

"Bye girls," I hear my mother call out as she walks out the door.

I pull on my favorite blue t-shirt and worn jeans. I start to put on make-up, but wash it off because I don't even care today.  I can't hear any movement from down the hall.

"Girls, get up. I'm not gonna be late for you today."

I hear their beds creak as my sisters get up. Hearing them begin to move around I pick up my copy of City of Bones.

"Okay Cassandra, lets read this again shall we," I chuckle to myself as I talk to a woman who will probably never know who I am.

I had just gotten to the part where Jace, Izzy, Alec, Simon and Clary head to the party at Magnus Bane's house. Magnus was just about to blatantly flirt with Alec when I heard my sisters start up the hall. I glance over at the clock to see that it is now ten til seven.

I jump off my bed, and shove the book in my bag, scrambling to get my stuff together. I dash out the door and shoot a quick text to my mom, letting her know that we have left the house. I jump in Pearl, my car, and drive my sisters to school, which lasts about two minutes. I leave the middle/elementary school parking lot and turn to head to the high school. I'm passing my friend's house when I start to hear voices coming from the back seat. I look in the review mirror and see a hand poking out of my book bag. I scream bloody murder and pull over. As soon as I'm far enough off the road I jump out of the car. I turn around to see that the hand is now joined by another, and the two are slowly working the zipper on my bag open. I ease up to my car and open the back door. The hands have opened  the bag all the way now and I grab and pull on one of the hands to see where the person is. I can't seem to pull them out, its as if they are stuck on something. I push the bag further open and see that the hands are coming out of my book. I scream again, but the hand won't let me go I keep tugging my arms, trying to pull away. I finally manage to pull back, but the hands are still clutching to my arms and finally the rest of the person comes tumbling out of the book. I squeal as I begin to fall backwards, but the person who just popped out of my book, clutches at me and rolls over so that they hit the ground and I do not. I hear cursing beneath me, and close my eyes, afraid to open them, hoping I was still in bed, and that this was all a dream. That theory fell through quickly when I felt a hand brush my shoulder and I opened my eyes only to meet eyes that are just as startling a shade of blue as mine. I can't help it, I pass out.

This Isn't Real

I wake up in the backseat of my car, resting on the laps of at least three different people. We are going down the road, and there are three people in the front seat that I can't quite place. I feel like I should know them, but something seems... off. Then, the memories of that morning come back to me and I try to sit up. As I start to make my way into a sitting position, two hands grab my waist and pull me backwards until I am sitting in someone's lap. I'm almost scared to turn around.

"Hey, Alec. She's awake now."

The guy now driving my car turns around and looks at me. His eyes startle me again. It's crazy, we both seem to have the same bottle-blue eyes. Our look is cut short, and the boy called Alec turns around again. I look down at my lap, letting my hair fall in curtains around my face. I take a quick peek through my hair to see who is in the car with me.

Aside from the-boy-called-Alec and myself, there are five other people in the car. Two others are in the front seat. A small red-haired girl, and a man with spiky, glittery hair. The way I am sitting, with my back to the back-passenger-side door, there are two people in front of me. A boy with dark hair and eyes, and a girl with high cheekbones, mysterious gray eyes and raven hair, who looks surprisingly like the-boy-called-Alec. I don't want to turn my head to see who has me in their lap, so I just sit quiet and still. We drive for a while longer, everyone content to ride quietly. I'm still sitting on the mystery persons lap, shaking like a leaf. Then the car begins to slow down, and the-boy-called-Alec pulls off the road into a public park. Once he has the car parked under a tree, Alec motions for everyone to get out. As soon as the dark haired boy and girl are out from the backseat I throw myself from mystery-person's lap and start running. I don't know where I am going, I just know that I'm trying to get away. I hear shouts behind me, but I keep running. "I have to get away from these psychos," I think to myself. I'm just about to hit the path where people are running when I  feel a hand snag my waist and yank me backwards. I yelp and fall to the ground, the person who grabbed me stumbling, but, righting themselves. I start to crawl away, only to be dragged back again, and pulled to my feet. I try to pull away, but whoever has grabbed me grabbed my wrists and pulled them to the opposite sides of my body, holding me in a position much like that of a straight jacket. My upper body is almost immobile, but I stomp and kick and pull, anything to get away. After a while I exhaust myself, and slump back into the person holding me still.

I hear a dark chuckle from behind me, and the person holding me lifts me up, carrying me in bridal style. I close my eyes and tell myself that this is all just a dream; that the gentle sway of the person carrying me walking isn't real and that I'm going to wake up in my bed and laugh at this crazy dream.  I'm set down on the ground with extreme gentleness, almost like the person carrying me was afraid that I was going to break. I open my eyes and peek through the chestnut curtain of my hair. I feel a tree at my back and my captors sitting around me in a semi-circle. The only person I hadn't seen yet is the one closest to me, a boy with a golden mane of hair and sharp golden eyes. I stare at each person in turn and wait for one of them to speak. Someone clears their throat and I turn to the sound, as does everyone else in the group.

"Samantha, everything is going to be alright. Just let us explain, please. And don't try to run, or scream, or pass out just listen. Can you do that," boy-called-Alec seems to be almost stumbling over his words, as if he's afraid of me interrupting him. I look into his eyes; they seem so pleading, almost begging me to understand some secret that even he doesn't understand. I slowly nod my head.

Alec lets out a relieved huff.

"Okay then, I guess I should start from the beginning."
