Born in 1969 in Durham, England, I’m the mother of two spirited teenagers and a freelance Screenwriter and short-story writer living in Preston, Lancashire. I’m a passionate and enthusiastic storyteller, and enjoy the challenge of bringing fictional characters the resolutions they need. I’m an award winning screenwriter and have had both poetry and short stories published in copy and online.
I enjoy writing in all forms but have had particular success with scriptwriting. I was lead writer on Independent feature film ‘The Blackout’ which was selected for the Lisbon International Film Festival in 2016. In 2013 I won the Northern Rail Safety award for my short film entitled ‘Don’t Lose the Race’ which was used as part of their national rail safety campaign. My current ‘works in progress’ also include a contemporary women’s novella and a multi-genre feature film. I have a short film currently in post-production, and have another at the pre-production stage.
My novella, "In The Broken Places" is currently being edited.
I graduated in 2015 year with a First Class Honours degree in Creative Writing and Film & TV Screenwriting from Preston’s University of Central Lancashire. I am a partner in the video production company Wasp Video, where my primary roles are writer/producer.
