A new job between 15 bioscience organizations seeks to help emerging entrepreneurs and train displaced workersThose looking to start their own businesses know that they face clasic a number of challenges and roadblocks, especially in today's competitive marketplace. Now, dozens of bioscience organizations are getting together to help the industry ramp up its efforts to support future biotechnology business leaders.

In all, 15 bioscience organizations from across the country have signed on to form the Coalition of State Bioscience Institutes , which will focus on boosting the resumes of professionals interested in starting their own companies, as well as increase workforce development and education.

"To continue innovation we need to attract excited, bright young people to biotechnology, as well as train American workers for life science careers and support biotech entrepreneurs," Angela Kreps, KansasBio chief executive officer and a founding  member, stated. "By bringing our individual state-level programs into , we are building a stronger, collective reach."
