Lacey Chabert cheap lingerie sets commemorated her recent 31st birthday on September 30 with a stunning lingerie photo shoot for the cover of Maxim magazine.

And it's safe to say the blue laca eunderwear actress, who grew up in front of our eyes as cute Claudia Salinger in Party Of Five from 1994 to 2000, well and truly sheds her girlish image in the grown-up spread.

The striking beauty dons a simple white plunging push-up bra and cream silk shorts, with a loosely worn thin white crocheted cardigan exposing her sun-kissed shoulder as she reclines on what appears to be a bed.

Piercing smoky black eyes, a subtle bronze glow and soft rose-coloured lips perfectly complement her softly tousled dark locks as she gazes out from the cover of the November issue.

In the accompanying spread, the petite 5ft 3in starlet stands tall in at least three different pretty lacy bra and knicker sets.

Some are shot in front of a plain white backdrop while others are in an unidentified house, with one newly-released portrait showing her bathed in sunlight as she rests her hand gently on a glass floor-to-ceiling window .

The actress, who began acting aged nine, famously appeared alongside fellow child star Lindsay Lohan in 2004 smash hit Mean Girls.

Though unlike many of her contemporaries - Lindsay included - Lacey has successfully managed to remain on the straight and narrow.

She tells the publication, 'Look, life is tough, and growing up in this business is especially tough. So I really can't take any credit other than saying I grew up in a really protective family.

'Also, I want a long-lasting career, so you're not gonna find me doing anything scandalous any time soon,' she adds.

But don't let her sugar and spice persona fool you - despite calling herself the 'nice girl next door', the actress can get down and dirty with the best of them, admitting she's a sucker for 'a good weekend in Vegas'.

Her fondness for a spot of gambling includes, 'Blackjack, roulette, four-card poker, slots ... all of it,' she enthuses.

As for how she keeps her enviable body in photo-shoot-ready shape, the star insists that's actually not the case.

'I got the call from Maxim and then immediately put down the cupcake and ran to the gym!' she admits.

Lacey also reveals in the interview that she has a sentimental keepsake from her time on popular series Party Of Five, which co-starred Scott Wolf, Matthew Fox, Neve Campbell and Jennifer Love Hewitt: her character's prized violin.

'It's really special to me, but it's too small, and I would have to get a full-size violin now if I wanted to actually play it,' she says.

While the stunning brunette, who is known both for her on-screen acting and substantial body of voice work in a multitude of animations, has had plenty of roles to keep her busy since Mean Girls, she admits her character Gretchen Wieners in the teen comedy is the one she still gets recognised for the most.

'People tweet me all the time, "Are you still trying to make 'fetch' happen?"' she laughs. 'I never thought people would still be quoting Mean Girls 10 years later.'

The busy star currently has four new movies in post-production, set for release at the end of this year and at various intervals throughout 2014, while she's soon to begin filming Saving Seymour alongside five-time Golden Globe-winner Edward Asner.
