The Unfortunate Gift Card Scamming Occurrences On Amazon

Scams are very unfortunate as they can occur anytime and anywhere. You're just doing the things you want to do, and then in the blink of an eye, you're dealing with a scam without even knowing. Online scams are the worst, and this article will be focusing on the gift cards scams you may encounter on Amazon.

HOW DO SCAMMERS VICTIMIZE THEIR VICTIMS?

Yes! You can encounter gift card scams on amazon. Normally, the scam will start with scammers encouraging their victims to negotiate through email, text messages, and any other communication platforms. Then they will naturally offer them a great price which will be a good move to make their proposal more convincing. When their victims accepted their proposal or offer, they will tell them that the payment method is by sending the claim code from the gift card that they bought online or a nearby store. When they get what they need, they will disappear and cannot be contacted anymore.

  • USING THE COVID-19 SITUATION

This type of scam is popular and most likely to occur as it is timely. Scammers with the disguise of your pastor, boss, professor, or someone you're under with, will contact you out of the blue asking for help regarding COVID-19 situations. They will contact you with the use of text messages and other communication platforms.

  • JOB RECRUITING SCAM
