A Sudden Chance

She could hear the wind whisper a song of something she remembered from years long ago when she just sixteen and fell for the one she thought she knew best. His tall dark frame and silk black hair with deep brown eyes melted her soul like butter and cream. A taste of heaven she never had seen. But what made her weak and fall to her knees was the voice he had of an angel from heaven, soft and suave as a new born infant, meshing her heart to his when he knocked on the door one evening at night when Jack wasn’t there.

To her surprise, he grinned at a glance when she opened the door and saw him standing there as though he had been waiting for almost eternity. His eyes had. A story she couldn’t quite place, but wanted to know just what it was. Was it a tragedy he needed to tell or was it a secret he just couldn’t keep. Whatever it was, she said “Hello” and opened the door all the way to let him come in and stay for a while.

But before he entered, he stood up straight and said “I have a confession” and said nothing else. He watched as her expression was now a tingle of arousal, their eyes both staring, locked in the moment of something she knew would be more than an innocent lame conversation. He was there to tell her something she thought, or something she knew deep in her soul. She watched as his hands move to his pockets, as though he was hiding something like an innocent child.

She leaned on the door as her lips curved up and then replied “What is it” she asked, a thousand ideas filling her thoughts. But only one really stood out.

His eyes scanned the room before he responded, seeing she had a beautiful couch, black and leather with a small fire place lit for the night. Almost as though she was expecting someone. He could feel the tension filling the room, but not so much as he saw her breathing with nerves at the end of her tiny frame. He could tell she feeling a bit vulnerable now, before he was even inside the house. Just the thought made him grin, as she watched him and blushed, her face now worried he could tell what she thought. Something her husband would definitely scorn if he knew anything about who she was.

He said not a word and stepped in closer, until he was there almost nose to nose. He then put his hands under her chin, lifted her face and ga e a soft kiss, gentle and warm as her body then timgled and filled with pleasure. Her heart began beating to the beat of a drum, erotic and gentle like the breeze outdoors.

He then came in, pushing her back and closed the door to leave the world outside. The fire was lit and sparks were flying as he grabbed her waist and lifted her up, taking her over to the black leather couch. There he laid her down on her back, her dark hair feathered across one cushion. Both their eyes met as though they known each other for almost a life. Nothing felt off as he laid over top, closed his eyes and fell madly in love.

It was then she knew a chapter was over and a new one began as rain poured down, but both their hearts melted to the fire within.
