Is a PIM system worth the investment for a small business?
We're a small online retailer, and I'm wondering if a PIM system is overkill for our size. We only have about 200 products, but managing all the descriptions, images, and specs across our website and marketplaces is taking up a lot of time. I just can't decide if the cost of implementing and maintaining a PIM is worth it for the time savings. Is anyone else running a small business and using a PIM? Or should I just stick with well-organized spreadsheets for now?
Online discussion spaces live or die by the quality of moderation and the culture the community establishes early on. The best ones have clear norms without being heavy-handed, and they reward thoughtful contributions rather than just the loudest voices. What I've noticed is that smaller, focused communities often produce better conversations than large general ones, because people share context and build on each other's points rather than talking past each other. There's a discussion on https://lucky-31.eu about building communities that stay useful over time — the point about the first hundred members setting the tone was particularly insightful. What kind of discussions were you hoping to find there?
