meeting you was only by chance but who are you?  and how did this all happen? 

I had returned home from my trip to Ireland with a heavy heart.  My boyfriend, my love, he had changed. 

The day I was leaving to see him I received news that he drove his car off a cliff on his way home.  I was sure it wasn't because I was on my way.  We had been getting along just fine.  He amazingly survived this horrific car accident.  The luck of the Irish is what I say.  They are almost like cats with nine lives. 

I was on edge for days.  I had not heard from him, I sent text messages, emails and no one responded.   When arrived in Ireland, I spent my first day with my Dublin friends and then made my way up to Trim to my girlfriend Louise's house for the night.  I fell in love in this town. It is a special place for me.  That night the rain was beating down, the wind howling, I tried calling his phone leaving voice mails, I sent more emails, still no word.

The next morning Louise had breakfast all ready.  We had a lovely chat catching up and doing some detective work to find out how I could get in touch with Martin.  We called the hospital and found out that he had been released yesterday.  Louise said, "we ring his house then, won't we!"  Well we did get the house number but I did not ring it. Louise tried but no one answered.  As much as I wanted to stay and spend more time with Louise I had to get down to my love and I had a long drive to get to him, five hours from Trim.
