How To Grow Your Spotify Without Getting Into Playlists?

You have probably already seen that Spotify growth is massive in 2020. There are over forty thousand new music submissions to Spotify every day, how can you work out Spotify that grows? Our advice is do not rely on playlist submissions, take this into your own hands and make sure that you are the BOSS here. Your career is in your hands. You and only you is the one who is pushing that growing up and forward.

Where to Begin. Spotify as a Social Media Platform.

That may sound like a broken record but still the main rule here is to get more followers. When it comes to social media we understand that growth tactic, we know what we need to do to get a bigger audience; that is a content. We need to put out more, we need to tell our stories, we need to share content regularly. However, when it comes to Spotify it is not the same. The rules here differ from the rules on Instagram or Facebook. So how we can grow on Spotify in the same way as we grow on other social media platforms.

First, ask yourself why people will follow you. It might be because they like you but an answer should be broader. They like you, you want to hear from you, they are afraid to miss anything new from you.

Think Unusual. Spotify as a Party.

Think about your Spotify content as about a party you are going to attend. When you come to the party what do you expect? You expect certain things that keep you there. Drinks, entertainment, people around, music, atmosphere, etc. These are all things that make a good party. So if you walk into the party and you feel well about it right at the doorstep you stay. And then at the end you might hear that there will be more parties and if you want to be notified when that happens. So back to your Spotify. Tell your followers what they get if they follow you. Of course, they are going to get your music, but not only that. Tell them that you are planning to release every month, or twice a month so if they do not click that “follow” button they are going to miss your next release. Make them a little bit worried about missing “YOUR PARTY”.

Do you like “giveaways”? So do your followers.

You as a musician should have your favorite band or artist, or you might even have many of them. Would you like to get something from them, for example, a banner, or a t-shirt? Sure, you would. The same story is with your audience. Therefore go ahead and offer them a monthly draw with some prizes, reward the people who follow you. Look after your followers and it will pay you back. Know your followers, understand their needs. It is easy to see who follows you, simply click on your profile and choose “followers”, you will see the list. Some people might at the beginning not like your music but like the rewards and then they might turn into your fans.

Again, remember you are the boss on your Spotify. Good luck!
