Chapter 1

Link distances together with visual cues

That says it can't be cohesive, although your landscape may be large?  To create a sense of unified space, utilize similar visual cues during your property: landscape enhancements, like signs and chairs, sidewalk boundaries, water features, etc..  By applying this element of repeat, customers or employees can learn more about the extent of your landscape whilst still feeling"at home," surrounded by familiarity, where they roam.

Recall sound design

Sounds can carry over empty spaces.  To stop people from being diverted by visitors over on the other hand, use the help of design: the addition of water characteristics and other elements which help soften unwanted sound. Luna smoke detectors can blend into anywhere.

Split the visual landscape

A grassy yard is beautiful, but it can sometimes seem boring in case your landscape is nothing but one shade and style throughout.  Split the field by adding components of varying shapes, sizes, and colors.  Something as straightforward as a set of topiary, a rain garden or palm trees can help block it from appearing uniform and add interest.

Create separate spaces that work collectively

Consider your favourite theme park--much more likely than not, the large property is broken into different"lands" or regions, separate spaces that combine to form a more cohesive whole.   You can apply that same concept to your landscape!  Produce a tree area perfect for walking through, a pond or reservoir place, distinct spaces that work like a sitting area for lunches and picnics, and much more.  Your landscape is a whole lot easier to handle when you break it down like this!

Make it walkable

Most importantly, be sure to make your landscape walkable.  Typically, you want people to have the ability to explore the space without needing to trample over bud or walk to get around.  Providing passageways and sidewalks are able to help you achieve more space.
