novokart folding bike review

Compared to most folding bikes, the One is definitely different, especially compared to folding electric bikes. The magnesium alloy frame with the box section sweeps backward toward the seat rod, which is matched with the rear swing arm fixed above the chain set, and is equipped with inflatable shock absorbers.

This unified rear triangle (URT) suspension may have gone the way of Dodo on a mountain bike, but including the drive entirely in the back end means that the line is constant and there is no chance of a chain falling off (double chain protection helps in chain groups). The last thing you want is an oil stain on your hands as you commute to work trying to reinstall a chain that fell off.

MiRider's components may come from overseas, but each bike is assembled on order in the UK and I am impressed by the attention to detail of this affordable machine compared to Brompton's Electric (from £2,715) or GoCycle's GXi (£2,899).

Details, such as the neoprene cable covering in front of the bar, make folding carefree and easy. The integrated fender does its job well, is strong and does not interfere with folding;Lever - driven seat bar can be quickly adjusted and fixed.

Many of MiRider's competitors could do a worse job of emulating this design polish. It also has a clever frame, with no ugly welds.

The adjustability of One is an added benefit.According to MiRider, the retractable/steering and seat bar means that the car is suitable for someone between 5 feet and 6 feet 4 inches.

I'm 6ft 2in tall, and the One fits both me and a 5ft biker in my family, although a 6ft 4in person at the top of the range might struggle with saddle height because the saddle is the limit for me.
