She fed him tea
and poetry
infusing
with her wild
and crazy mind

From the ashes I will rise
let dust fall
from my aching limbs
unmoved by ghosts
of yesterday
and rest in the place
that waits for me

These words
never depart
they circle endlessly
like birds in flight
longing to find rest
waiting to be heard
